Reading day four

beth visits the Hummels, she doesn't want to go one day and asks a sister if she would, they ignore her, busy with their own work and she ends up going. the hummel baby has died of scarlet fever and beth feels as though she may have it. they send Amy to aunt March's house incase she would catch it, meg and jo have had it already so they wouldn't get it. they send for a doctor and beth does have it, jo wants to send for marmee right away, she talks to laurie and he admitts that he has already sent for her and she should arrive that night, beth is recovering and marmee returns late taht night.

meg and mr.brooke get very close, around chirstmas mr.march is home and megs parents think she is too young to marry, mr.brooke askes her hand in a few years and her parents agree, jo is sad because she feels like she is loosing a sister.

END OF PART 1

mr.march and mr.brooke, who had minor injuries, are home from war, which has ended. meg has a wedding and few months later she has twins, John Laurence and Margret, or Demi and Daisy for short, they have though time, they are poor.

jo wins a prize from her writting, 100 dollars, she sends marmee and beth to the seashore for beth to get better, she also finishes her novel and makes 300 dollars, she is still very very proud that she is helping support her self and her family.

jo and amy go on a visit, amy makes jo dress nice and act nice, they finally visit aunt march after jo has been crud, the author makes it sound like amy will have something good happen to her since she has been delightful that day.

Response: once again marmee has taught a lesson that the girls shouldn't be something they are not, amy tries to throw a really good party and it fails, her family is still loving and kind but she now know that she is who she is, which is a wonderful lesson!
