reading day one

there are four sisters and their dad is at war, as doctor.it is Christmas time and they wake up and they each find a book under their pillow, they all promise that each morning before they work that they would read the book. they wend down stairs trying to prepare breakfast and their mom comes in and asks if they would give their breakfast to the poor family, the mom is sick with 6 children and a crying baby. they took it over along with some cloths and started a fire for them and made it warm. they also gave up their money and they each bought their mother something instead of themselves. they put on this really cool play, Jo of course is the boy, she is a tom boy. Old Mr.Laurence sent them a feast after the play because he heard of what they did.Jo reads in the attic because she has a pet rat named scrabbles, and she also eats apple up there. meg and Jo are invited to a new years party, they don't have very good clothes and Jo hears that a boy is going to ask her to dance so she hides behind the curtains and Laurie, or Laurence boy is back there and they dance behind the curtains and meg sprains her ankle, Laurie gives them a ride home in his carriage.
the girls don't want to go back to their duties:
Jo reads to aunt march
Amy goes to school
meg babysits the king children
and Beth stays home and cleans and takes care of her doll collection.

one day Jo is shoveling and she see Laurie in the window of his house and she throws a snow ball at the window and he tells her that he is sick, she asks if she can keep him company, marmee doesn't like the idea but Jo goes anyways. she brings food, kittens, and trinkets.Laurie has to see the doctor, he sends Jo to his grandfathers library and she starts talking about the picture of old Mr. Laurence and says that it isn't good, thinking that Laurie is in the room but it is Mr.Laurence, he laughs a Jo's humor and they become friends and she is invited for tea. after tea Laurie plays the piano for Jo and his grandfather who doesn't want him to pursue music gets upset and Jo leaves, and tells all to her sisters.

Response:
The girls are very sweet and they are very obedient, they love their mother and want to please her no matter what. i think that it is really cool how on Christmas morning they gave up their breakfast feast to that poor family. they all have a responsibility and even though they don't want to work they do it.
