Chapter 13

Henry finally gets the courage to go back to his fire even though he is so scared that his fellow soldiers will be angry with him because he disappeared and left the battle line. at camp a lot of hims fellow soldiers are sleeping so he struggles to get were he needs to be while he is struggling he hears a loud voice and it is (the loud soldier) Wilson and asked if that was Henry, Henry said yes and the loud soldier was happy to see him and thought that he was dead. He tells the loud soldier that he was shot in the dead after he got separated from the group and a friend hears him say that he has been shot and gets Simpson the doctor and Simpson examines him and says that Henry was "gazed by a ball" and it has just left no more than a lump and that it has stopped bleeding a long time ago and that some "feller" had just landed on him and hit him in the head?.Henry watches around the camp and then Wilson hands him some coffee and he tends to his head with a wet cloth and gave Henry his blanket and then he is happy that everything is okay and he falls asleep.
Question: it kind of seemed that Simpson was almost laughing inside that Henry thought that his big dumb was very bad?
