All of the soldiers are being led to the trench and then Wilson falls fast asleep once they are there.just like in earlier chapters rumors of battle and enemy's approaching are spread rapidly. Henry and his group are led into the forest by their leaders and Henry gets mad and is complaining a lot about the poor leadership, when he is complaining another soldier mocks him and Henry gets like self conscious and stops. finally the lieutenant has a spot for them in the woods and tells them that they will be battling the enemy in minutes and the men grow scared any sad as they hear the battle in the background.
Question: why is Henry's group/regiment taken into the woods and not the trenches?
