Chapter 18

the troops in the trenches rest while all the other fighting in the woods continues, thick smoke takes over the woods and all you can hear is the sounds of gun fire. all of the sudden Wilson and Henry hear a friend Jimmie Rodgers cry out in pain and Wilson thinks that there is a stream near by so he goes to get some water and Henry follows, they can't find a stream but they have a really good view of the battle unfolding and they See who all of the blue men are swarming everywhere they see a general or comrad trample over a wounded man and then i think a general and his people pass by as 2 comrades are discussing their weak position and then the officer tells them that he doesn't need Henry's regiment, which is 304Th, and he says because they fight like mule drivers
Question: i didn't really understand this chapter, like the conversation with the officers, generals, and lieutenant?
