- They all have nicknames like Jim is the tall soldier and Henry is the youth and Wilson is the loud private, i think that they have these nicknames because it is easier for them to be remembered and also when talks about all of the different people then it talks about these characters with nicknames you know exactly who they are because they are unique. Henry i think has given in to his "nickname" (moniker) because he is a youth and acts like one and how he left the battle line, since he is called the youth they would probably guess that he would make decisions like that. Also Wilson is obviously loud because that is why they call him the loud private, and i am guessing that Jim is tall, i think that Jim will also become more wise since he is injured and still alive he will also be known for how brave he is and it think it will give him more confidence. i also realized that Jim is no longer the tall soldier because he has fallen and died, and the loud soldier has become quiet and calm and caring and confident from what he first was and i think that it is the war that has done this.
